Aspera Design was approached by the client to design, a G+10 storey building in Nyautarama, Kigali.
The building would consist of 30 serviced apartments, with complementary amenities. The proposed site access is through the lowest corner of the plot. This access is defined by circular porte cochere with a double volume drop-off and lobby, enhancing the arrival experience. The ground floor also accommodates a business centre and meeting room. The first floor accommodates a restaurant, health centre and gymnasium that open up to a leisure deck that has an infinity edge swimming pool.
The typical floors consist of a mix of two- and three-bedroom apartments with all their bedrooms and living rooms enjoying the golf course and Kigali Convention Centre view. The building cascades on the upper portion, providing expansive terrace opportunity for the end apartments. The façade is characterized by full floor-to-ceiling windows and broken by balconies at the bedrooms and bay windows for the living rooms. The glazed façade is framed by limestone and timber cladding to give it a residential feel.
